True enough. Especially for weapons that are no longer available. I'd say that applies even more value and status to them as well.

Edited by D3a7hS7R1k3: 8/23/2015 12:54:09 AM"Hey look at that, where did you get it?" applies here. Many have used this example, however it's statement still rings true. If you work for something you don't want it negated, you want it recognized. I.E. year one exotics and legendaries. Don't trivialize my hard work and dedication to your game, a game I have enjoyed in the past. Those that have been here before have spent their valuable time and money grinding away for something dismantle? Yes I included money because we all bought this game. I have my favorite year one weapons, if I were to ever consider buying Taken King then maybe there is a chance I might like year 2 weapons. Point being, don't downgrade year one weapons to make year 2 weapons compete. If they are great weapons then it will speak for its self I.E. Hawkmoon, Thorn, The Last Word, Red Death, Gjallarhorn, Ice Breaker, Monte, Suros, T-Lord and in some cases sunbreaker gloves, void fang, don't touch me, St. 14 and the Truth. At some point in time they were all "hated" on because these weapon systems were that good. Guardians love their guns, why let go of a great weapon that also looks good. Bungie claimed during Destinys inception that guardians would get to bring everything forward with us through our Destiny story, from beginning to end. This was one of the main reason many wanted to be apart of Destiny. Why the change in philosophy? I've played countless mmos and fps, as well as understand the concept of in-game progression. I've been gaming since 1990 and really wish I had a gamer score that could reflect that some way, another story altogether but I digress. I can always say "I got this in the time before Blades of Crota littered the moon and Earth. You might not know or remember this but I remember and I will never forget."

Right. The proof is in the pudding. A black Emblem/Shader for those who actually purchase TTK does not a legend make.
