Personally I'm fine with it because I want to try out the new stuff they are offering. Gally is nice but it gets old, makes everything way to easy, and I have 8 so I'm ready to let them go. I'm sure there will be a new heavy that is just as if not more devistating than the gally.
Besides you know how bungie caters to the masses next dlc it will prolly get an year 2 form any way and the forums will find a new issue to cry about

But this isn't just about the Gally... They are picking and choosing for us which weapons go forward... Buffing Hardlight but it isn't coming forward.. Buffing Nechrochasm which has LITERALLY been the worst exotic until this upcoming update.. Not to mention the amount of time it takes to obtain the weapon and it's not moving forward either... How can anyone be ok with this?? I want Nechrochasm to be the weapon it was always meant to be!

If that's what you want you shouldn't play a game like this. When a new expansion comes out the old gear becomes useless to make way for new gear. Destiny is actually letting us keep some old gear and make it relevant. And even the year one stuff is can be used in some activities. You don't even know what they have instore for ttk it could be weapons that make your favorite year ones useless anyway. Do you really wanna play destiny year 5 with year 1 weapons?
