Year one player over and out :\

Dear Bungie, Don't think you'll read this, but at least it will be logged for meta analysis should you scan the feedback. I, like many, followed Destiny from the moment the picture of the windmill was released. I eagerly lapped up the PR as I counted down the years, months, weeks, and days until I could BECOME LEGEND. I did the grind, demolished at the loot cave, completed my bounties and was lucky enough to earn the Thunderlord and Ghallahorn early on in my jihad against the other alien factions. Playing through the story with my brother, he was the first to point out "Destiny is just run and gun, no story" to me. He quit the game at level 28 while I forged ahead without him. Finding new friends to battle the darkness (no easy task, to find friends, not fight the darkness). What was the budget for this game? 500 mil? Wasn't that earned back in pre-orders? It is sad to me that this game's business strategy is obvious, lie to the players and earn your entire budget back with the BETA version of the game, THEN begin work on everything that was promised and sold AGAIN to the player. Pass. Pass, pass pass. How is it that games like Elder Scrolls Online have something like 50 emotes to choose from, and we are supposed to be excited about THREE new emotes with the expansion? Have you played Vice City? So much more to do and see! Did you cut back on your employees as well to maximize profits? When the musician was fired, I new something was up. When your World Builder quit, it was certain. Destiny's destiny was to collect dust on my shelf. No, I will not order the Taken King, why? Because Destiny clearly will not be anything worth playing again until maybe year 7. Then, only then will there be enough content worth my dedicated time. Plus, obviously I'll probably be able to pick up the battle chest version for $40 more than whatever DLC is coming out. You lost me. As fun as it was at the beginning, I'm tired of being let down. House of Wolves was entertaining, but when I can mow down enemies with purple guns and my ghally, WHY WOULD I EVER GRIND FOR SOME OTHER WEAPON?!?!?! Here's me advice, take it or leave it. Your Attack values are lame. Weapons should be simplified, all weapons of the same color do the same damage. Exotics SHOULD ALWAYS BE STRONGER than a purple. ALL weapons should auto-upgrade with the next expansion (in fact, don't even change the attack level, just forget the increasing level system), NO. I will not grind for ascendance EVERY time a new expansion comes out. Focus on making gear and weapons have interesting perks. Get rid of the invisible walls and give us what we were promised! If you can see it you can get there! Real geometry. Jumping puzzles, jumping puzzles everywhere. That's all I have to say, everything else has been said by the community already. Maybe I'll see you in year 7, maybe. For now, I'll be returning to Master Chief, Warzone looks BADASS. By the way, the "Moments of Triumph" was the last slap to my face I'd endure. An emblem? Really? Shaders homie. That's what Year One players deserved. You see me strutting with a -blam!-ing flaming helmet and you'd know I was battling the darkness long before the other guardians were born. An emblem, really? ....who even looks at those? *Facepalm* Maybe I'll delete my characters just to show I truly don't give a shit anymore. Maybe.

 • Destiny is a lot like Clash of Clans. It was fun when it started. Eventually it was all about resources and finding ways to do things asap to actually get anywhere. (Exactly like sniping skolas when he had burns.) Eventually the addictive games that are all about trying to get the next thing, get old and players realize they aren't playing for fun but to feed an addiction. It's too bad really, I enjoyed the game play. Met some cool people. I just wanted another raid, some new gear and I woulda been happy. They have clearly shown destiny is all about time of play. TTK players will spend weeks of their lives replaying the same things for, as fanboys say, a gun, in a game. Instead of playing a game with loads of content that destiny could have been with all the money they made off year 1.
