Change - yes, replacement - no.
Nobody is forcing anyone to use the same 4-5 weapons. If they (you) think those are the only useful ones, then there should be more of them, not the same number new ones, or else this will be repeated again and again.

Nobody is telling you that you can't use those weapons, they'll still be there.. You'll still use them in taken king.. They want you to find BETTER weapons, or else what is the point of playing a shoot and loot..

Oh I agree. I just want more of a selection, instead of replace one for one. And yeah, I think they are forcing (or making irrelevant). I don't spend my time doing patrols or crucible (never crucible). I stick to end game stuff, so wandering or PvP - perhaps that isn't my thing. The only reason people used fatebringer in Crota hard, was because of etheric light. Anyone who thinks they could have just used fatebringer or Vision of Confluence for crucible and patrols would not have ascended them. I'm willing to bet everyone did. There is a reason for that. That reason still exists today.
