Um you can still do VoG with gjallarhorn? It's not being removed from the game, and it won't be any worse off for not being carried on to year two (aside from the patch). Gjallarhorn and the other exotics will be as good for year 1 content as they are now. You can basically keep on doing the same thing, or do the same thing but with new stuff AS WELL. they are not forcing you to buy TTK and/or deleting/making useless your old exotics
