Why am I okay with it? We don't need them. New exotics bring new life to the game. Some of the old weapons, not just exotics but legendary weapon to were too good. Gjallarhorn, Fatebriger? These two weapons are the most complained about as far as leaving them behind goes but they were just TOO GOOD. I didn't "work" hard for Gjallarhorn. I xurned it.... on week 2. I've had it for a long time and one thing Bungie pointed out is a fair argument. This weapon was exclusionary. By extension, there was a dependency on Gjallarhorn and when only players with Gjallarhorn completed all the end game content, we had these "elite players" with this superiority complex insulting and warring with other players who lacked Gjallarhorn. This caused too large a split in the community. For this reason alone we don't need Gjallarhorn, quite the opposite, it should be thrown away for a while. As for the other exotics, some of them were lackluster anyway. Just because we aren't seeing new and improved models dosen't mean we can't see them in the future, not just expansions but game releases too. Bungie confirmed our character development will carry into future Destiny releases. If Bungie's servers are now set to "remember" the exotics we acquire, they may can make a comeback. We shouldn't be so dismissive immediately and lets not mention that we have new exotics coming. Lets not forget this guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epygzfHaDV8

  • 3 years later BO2 is still the most played COD. Good weapon balancing and fun things to do give a game longevity. Not creating new exotics that will probably suck

  • The split was caused by people having to rely on external websites to match up to complete end-game activities. Those sites let people be elite douches and try to rush the objective, by setting certain requirements, thereby excluding certain players who hadn't recieved Gally from RNGesus. The problem here isn't the weapon being OP, the problem is people weren't given a matchmakimg option to eliminate this elitist mentality of "it's my rules and you better have <blah blah> or else you don't get to play."

  • The problem with matchmaking? Not everyone is guaranteed to have a method of communication (absolutely necessary.) The Raid content is much more difficult and takes longer a standard strike or mission and without proper communication, it's too hard to organize 6 random players. The only way we can have matchmaking is if we make raids stupidly simple and easy with bullet sponge bosses that stand there and shoot at you while you take cover and fire back. It's dull and isn't challenging. No splitting up forces to defend multiple points (confluxes), no killing key targets that will kill off your team in a set time frame (oracles) no killing one key target for a relic that lets you damage the boss (Blade of Crota.) That stuff just doesn't work for groups of players with no raid experience and form of communication. There is nothing wrong with players taking the initiative to go to an external website for grouping. Matchmaking isn't an easy solution and only causes more frustration and aggression throughout the community.
