Not on the hype train after that stream. A good improvement I guess. Level and light are still the same, and you still level the same, they just changed the values. Glad more pieces have impact, but everyone will still have to grind the raid the same way.
I'm most happy about the vault. Glad they have increased the space dramatically.
Shaders, emblems, and ships are the same. At the kiosk it will tell you to grind vanguard or level up a faction. That is of no help.
You can purchase exotics you once had if you decide for some reason to dismantle them. With the added vault space this is a useless feature.
New cosmetic options. Meh.
They made year one exotics useless. Year two ones are a cool improvement.
Weapon upgrading looks like a smart system. Not sure it will get much use since it's limited to year two weapons, but who knows.
More vendors to buy from, more things to buy, and a more streamlined currency. All good, but not worth the money for an expansion.
Definitely nothing amazing. Tired of saying it, but these are basic things that should have been in an initial release. Glad bungie is working to improve the game, but I'm not sold on TTK yet. Maybe next week will be better.

Edited by HeartStrong07: 8/20/2015 11:53:00 AMI totally agree .... more hype and cosmetics ... than content and value so far .... could still be good, we will see ...
-
Understandable reasons, but iam sure we havent seen everything yet. No clue about the Ship, we seen like 50% of the weapons, no in depth look at all on them, basically no new armor pieces were shown in details with perks, in depth look into the crucible features, Court of Oryx and last but not least the raid itself.
-
Weapons and armor are nothing special though. Those are cosmetic. Since leveling and light still have the same impacts, I don't care. New story content is new. So really, you're paying $40 for a few missions, strike, and raid. For me, it's not worth it yet because the core game is still the same repetitive grind. Bungie needs to highlight something dramatic they've done for TTK.
-
Then maybe Destiny isnt the game for you. I paid 60 for MSGV which will have a great story, but will be shelfed after a week. 40 bucks is more then worth the content were getting.
-
It's not whether destiny is the game for me, it's whether TTK is worth the money. Destiny has been very fun and kept me occupied for months, but it's like playing the same cd on repeat. TTK is just a remix of a song. They havnt accually shown anything new yet. The stream was a reskin. I want new and I want actual expansion.

Lmao you sound like a broken record... Its like you are eating a meal for months you dont like. You dont agree with the pricetag? Then dont buy it. You want more content? Welp it breaks my heart Bungie didnt satisfy YOUR needs, but mine including many other were. Cheers.
