I Can't Be the Only One
I can only hope there are others like me.
I preordered TTK, knowing it will be great fun. Played since day one, all previous DLCs, still loving it. I watched the stream, didn't hate any of it. Glad of the new stuff they are putting in. Year 1 gear "useless"? Couldn't give a flying fig. There are more things to attach to my glorious body out there, not to mention we can just break 'em down. Gjallarhorn rendered supposedly (according to forum flailers) pointless? Oh look, another flying fig. It's just a gun. I spent 200+ hours just looking for this gun before I got it randomly from a Nightfall.There might be something better on the way, even if they bring Gjallarhorn to par stat-wise. All this hate about having to re-level our exotics? Who cares, do it while you play the content. Bungie shouldn't have to spoon feed every exotic back to you fully upgraded. Work out those trigger fingers some more. I can say that I am glad I get to do that. I'll revisit all those exotics I neglected (*cough*Plan C*cough*) and maybe they will work their charms and it'll be my new go-to for shattering everything from those fidgety Hunters to the Hive.
I can say with certainty that I'm excited for TTK, and I'm [i]sure[/i] I'm not the only one. Let me hear it, Guardians...
Edit 1: C'mon Guardians, let's get this going. People (and Bungie) need to know how the majority stand.
Edit 2: All these awesome Guardians, and not a single hater to spoil it. This is what I like to see. (Knock on wood)
Edit 3: This thread is just taking off. I can't wait to see the love after the next two Twitch streams. I'm glad to know that there are at least this many people who love this game and for years onward hopefully. Keep on keeping on. Oh, and before I forget: some of you probably know me, but for those you who don't, you can call me Spaz. That's what everyone calls me. At least, I think they mean it as a name.....

7 Repliesmeh im used to playing games like diablo 2-3 where you farm for a season for a specific item and it quickly becomes irrelevant later on. it sucks but its part of the game progression and keeping the game fresh. When diablo 3 had auction house with real money people actually paid real money for items which quickly got unusable when the next dlc came. so people paid 200-300 dollars for a weapon to enjoy for a few months. just think about that..

1 ReplyAnd this game is just getting more casual, as in everything is easier to get. Based on the loot system in the TTK, we should all have the new exotics in less than a couple months tops. Bungie is practically going to be spoon feeding us the new stuff anyway.

Honestly, I'm super excited for TTK. I'm seeing many improvements and i'm glad we're getting more things to do. What I don't understand is why they are nerfing Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker if they aren't going to be viable in TTK content anyways. They will do less damage than exotics with Year 2 versions already, why nerf? Why are you arbitrarily upgrading certain exotics but leaving others behind? This doesn't make any sense to me. The exotics are apart of the lore so shouldn't they stay relevant? I will be really bummed out if all exotics aren't upgradable. However, if MIDA Multitool is given a Year 2 version, I will be okay lol. All exotics don't need Year 2 versions, but they all should be able to reach the new damage cap. Its the most logical and sensible thing to do.

2 RepliesSadly, the only time many people feel motivated to contribute to the Destiny community is when they are pissed about something. Just like society and the internet in general I guess. Happy people are off having fun leaving the internet to the terminally salty. There are plenty of people out there who are excited about TTK and all the changes. I am one of them. As far as year one wepons go, I have already deleted everything. Not sharded, but deleted. Put all my shit on to my old toons, held square and *poof* gone in Nightstalker smoke bomb. New year. New toons. New guns. Can't wait.

Been here since early Dec Have played almost every day I'm glad we're getting the dlc, I was starting to get bored All my crew is on one, and I'm stuck on 360 till spring, possibly Christmas. I have something to do now

I'm ready for more grind. Unlike many of the forum posters I'm not emotionally attached to my guns so Idc what happens to them, I'll just a work towards great gear when ttk drops. Sure would like to know what's about to happen to my bad juju tho, I heard something about it coming back as a boosted version but idk for sure. Hate to see that one go but oh well I'll find a better gun

I'm sure Bungle are leaving behind all the best exotics because it helps us beat their content too easily.
