I've seen a crapload of people talking about it. Hope everybody kept it! I know I have 2, and my 3rd when I beat story mode on my Titan

No one ever said the old Stranger's Rifle would ascend into the Legendary one. My guess is the old rare will be useless and unrelated to the new legendary.

Nobody said that either though. My guess is that you can use the old one to infuse with a new gun to make the legendary. Buutt at this point I guess it's all speculation

I don't think they would do that, only because people did dismantle it and they can't expect us to save everything with limited vault space.

Exactly. That's one of the reasons by I think they would do it.
