So....just asking here
I'm sure bungie would not reveal anyway but.....
If all year 1 legendaries are obsolete n year 2.....
What is the point of having a 10 year commitment plan announced up front....
That was a big selling point for me.....
The concept that a players gear and rewards they were working toward ....
Would not become completely irrelevant n the future DLCs or sequels
I understand how mmos work gear blah etc.....
That not exactly the question.....
I guess it's how can bungie say that destiny (from character creation) to whatever date (present even)....
Is a ten year character investment
Seems to me ....
I will have a small head start on what will be considered materials for upgrading gear.....
But only the appearance of my character remains the same....
NO attitude ....I like destiny
But would have made different choices n relation to the release of HoW.....
The HoW concepts were short lived ....
And TTK initiates a redesign of a ton of concepts....
It seems that a TTK / destiny first time buyer.....is not that far behind a vet.
Proposing that u are just changing the systems you are putting in place....
To intentionally break apart a 10 year commitment plan
Other than character appearance....
I am a player who has run the grind for most of the changed concepts each DLC....and u end up n the same place each new DLC release
I am excited about some of TTK stuff
But bungie should give more of a heads up on what will actually be relavent to the future of destiny
Sorry about long question post
Would like to know if bungie.....
intends on keeping this "hush hush -> reveal" pattern up.....
or
Intends on explaining the direction of the game conceptd ahead of time (more than 4 weeks)
Ps: app scrolling in post creation / editing doesn't work

Same arguement could be made the other way, why keep playing if were already as powerful as were going to get

Edited by anomaly76: 8/20/2015 4:27:58 AMEh? If any of my work correspondences was ever worded this way to me the person who gave whatever note/addendum/whatever would be seriously talked to. This is not how written communication works. Edit: unless they're a narcoleptic who falls asleep on the period button briefly after every sentence.

Work correspondence.....lol Sounds like a job Not work
-
-
But if it worked how you wanted no new players would ever join the game

Edited by theBaDRaD: 8/20/2015 3:34:18 AMLol or give a solid reward r trade in system that benifits someone that began before new players.... I'm gonna start a new character possibly for TTK spark to level 25..... Almost no change compared to year old character.... There will be hardly any benefit for the time n few $$ I put in previously.... I can understand an alpha r beta players argument. ... Even the people who preordered og destiny.... Or the expensive bundles. .... Now a waste Along with time spent .... Bungie is working the stucture of the game.... Hope this DLC brings a solid 1 it can sit on for a year.... Cuz ... since sept 2014 the main structure changed every DLC....

I was hoping these same things would be addressed about what we already have. They said at the beginning of the stream they would tell us why but never did aside from some exotics. What should we hang on to? Is it just vendor and DB gear/weapons that will be obsolete?

I still have almost 100 each radiant /ascendant materials..... Cuz these guys can't make up their minds.... And It's my play time that pays the price Alot of these changes between 1st DLC and now should have been flushed out before initial destiny release. .... I ain't 1 of those guys that wants to complain r say this is a beta game evolving. .... But the more they change ..... The more it seems that way.... With out a balancing reward for all the playtime put forth to acquire initial game concept needs..... Screw those rep./xp trade offs That's a phone in
