See, people keep using the argument "but new weapons, I don't wanna use the old ones the whole time". Ok, cool, use the new weapons, I'm sure I will too. But why make our old ones nearly useless? And I don't even care about legendarys, but everyone and there mother was under the impression that our exotics will stay with us for the entirety of the franchise, and for good reason. 1. They led us to believe this was the case and 2. Because why the hell not? I should be able to amass a plethora of weapons that stay relevant. By the end of year 10, why can't I have 120 exotic weapons to show off? "Oh because new weapons, derp de derp." No, you are really not getting it. I love new weapons, but I should be able to use any exotic, whenever, and it still be useful.

Im not saying exotics shouldn't get tsken forward each year, I believe they should like you are saying. I also feel as though they aren't going to drop them we eill be able to get them to use in new content ect and if not all year one content is still viable and none level advantage pvp. But they wont just remove all of year 1 from rng so lets say you start playing in year 2, you want that sweet weapon thorn that someone killed you with.. the fact that new players will want old exotics is the exact reason they will allow them to progess to full. Otherwise its unfair to new players in pvp and pve. I hope i am explaining this right.

Surely, and there are still questions about old exotic bounties. Can we even get a thorn? Do the old exotic bounties work the same as before? Also, attack values don't matter in crucible, new players will still get destroyed by thorns and juju and all that. And if they do like before, the old exotics will still drop in the old content. For example, only vanilla weapons drop in VoG (you can't get a dragons breath or no land beyond in that raid). so that should be untouched, but the old exotic bounties, I dunno. Guess we will have to wait and see
