Technically it was a Charlie test, since there was an Alpha and Beta preceding it.
-
Still had fun regardless. No vote

Truly evident in how they completely shake things up with every new expansion to the game. I wonder what the statistics will say about some of the people who really have given up and gone. This game is just too good and I keep giving it the benefit of the doubt. I keep rooting for bungie but then they go and do something completely left field to alienate me as a consumer.
-
Yeah, did you enjoy playing it? if so does it matter?? if you didn't then you really shouldn't be here.
-
Bungie and Activision pulled the greatest capper in gaming history. Selling us an early access game in three chunks without us knowing.
-
Idk, but I've had a great time playing it.
-
With the number of changes that have been made, there is a pretty good argument there.
-
I think the person is referring to what was originally promised to what was released this far and then what is to come from ttk
-
I think that the game has evolved significantly as they have learned what works or what doesn't. Games that revolutionize genres tend to cause a lot of debate because there's nothing to compare them to, and half of the people want one thing while the other half wants something else. I am very glad that the game was so dynamic in its design and look forward to future changes. This is sooo much better than the age of static games that play out as shipped.

People have no idea about what is a beta test if they say yes. They should have a look at Wikipedia.
-
The question is just because they release updates and changes to the game that make it better or worse (everyone has their opinion...) that it's a beta or a test? What if they didn't release any dlcs or updates would you still be asking that question?
-
Anyone that calls year one a beta test is extremely simple minded. Was gears of war 1 a beta? CoD 1 a beta? Pokémon yellow must have been a beta right? Or maybe even World of warcraft is one too?
-
We spent 1 year helping evolve the game and help bungie make it better
-
Isn't a constantly evolving game always technically in alpha or beta?
-
No time to explain why we fired the story writer
-
It was indeed
-
At least Destiny wasn't completely broken in terms of frame rate, lag (except on multiplayer but you expect that) and basic gameplay.
-
Year one was seeing what worked/didn't work and what we as the player base enjoyed and what we didnt. Plus they know if TTK isn't spectacular Destiny as a series will fail. I have definitely got my moneys worth out of Destiny and hope it keeps growing and evolving
-
By beta I mean it was a learning experience. Not like some people who will say this game had so little content it was like a beta.
-
My thoughts? Mass Effect was a beta for ME 2 Witcher was a beta for Witcher 2 You get where I'm going. Games expand and evolve with each sequel.
-
Awfully long beta
-
Basically the same as the beta lol The same outcome, We get an emblem
-
I thought year one was a alpha test and now we get to buy the beta
-
Year 1 was not a beta. Year 1 was the ALPHA, year 2 is the BETA.
-
Most fun I've had with a beta since......
-
Kinda. Techniquly it wasn't, but almost metaphoricly it was. From what I know and heard, they had to learn how to make a game like Destiny. Considering Halo was basicly just every other shooter with single player and multiplayer.
