One question that is important to me (and possibly thousands of others),
Will we be able to ascend our current Legendary gear? At least sometime in the future after TTK drops?
A lot of players have worked hard to get our characters to the way they wanted them to look. A lot of players have also worked hard to obtain the weapons they wanted. Why will all of this now be in vain, especially since HoW we have had the option to ascend our older gear. What has changed since?

I'm confident our current legendaries are staying where they are in terms of attack. Any work for etheric light has become a wasteful time sink

Yea but how fun is it really to be able to ascend and rely on fate bringer and gally and year 1 gear throughout all future expansions? It would get boring, forcing us to fight with new armor and gear and explore all what they have to offer is kinda the point of destiny. I'd much rather hang up my weapons now and find new ones to play with

Agreed, but some people may not want to give them up yet. Especially if they have just recently obtained them. I think there should be an option for players to continue to use their favorite weapons and armor pieces.
