I'm sure level will have some sort of influence on overall attack/defense. This is just what we have gleaned so far off what has been released. Hopefully after the stream today things will be much more clear.
What we do know:
-Light will be attached to armor, weapons, your ghost, and probably your artifact (which we still don't know what those are at this point).
-The displayed light number will be an average of all of your gears light (or attack and defense. This is still kind of unclear but we know it's an average of all your gear)
-The light number will have SOME INFLUENCE over your attack and defense (higher light number theoretically better attack/defense).
What we don't know
-Will light be the only determinant of attack and defense values? Or will leveling play into these values as well?
-How many sets of max light gear will there be?
-What will the penalties be for using non-max light gear? (Can I use old raid weapons if all other gear is max-light and still to damage/stay alive?)
