When The Taken King drops this September, what level will you be if you're wearing gear that lets you get to light level 34? Will we stay at 34, or because of the new leveling system will we be leveling from level 20 and have to go from there.
This also pertains to people who have reached 34 but when The Taken King drops they're wearing lower gear.(for some reason) do they start at that lower level, or does the game know what level they have previously attained?

Your light level will remain the same. Ibam.not sure about the leveling system if you arent lvl 34. But if you are, exp will change your character level but your light level which is average of your armor, weapons, class item, possibly artifact and ghost's lights, will be determining your atrach and defence power. You can stay level 40 with blue rare armor but your light level will be lower. So, you won't be doing much damage as a 34 with higher light level can
