I love posted like this the people that bleet on about how they earned thier gally they grinded 50 crotas or got 100 kills in crucibal....... you DID NOT EARN IT you were lucky and the rng gave it to you, no skill involved. The only real people that earned it were the people that bought the thing from xur last week simply because you had to earn your strange coins from completing weekly strikes to be able to buy it (now prepares myself for backlash to this post)

just stop....'earning' coins is extremely easy now since HoW dropped. whether you bought it or it dropped who cares? one way is not better than the other.

Read the entire post. You may notice a hint of sarcasm.

I love commented like this where it's clear the person didn't even read the tl;dr
-
Yep your right i didnt read the Tl;dr as have no clue what it is
-
Ah, sorry. I assumed everyone was familiar with the term. Tl;dr is the "Too long; didn't read" section, where the poster summarizes the post for those who don't feel like reading the wall of text. In the tl;dr on this post I mentioned that I'm just trying to point out that a lot of us pretty much had the Jellohorn fall in our laps, which exposes a major flaw in the "RNG is earning and Xûr isn't" argument.

Only comment I have on this is that you don't have to do heroics to get coins. You don't even earn most coins that way although technically you can. You get tons of coins from engrams, and by doing public events, turning in faction packages, and playing normal crucible. All things which happen over the course of the game. So even by buying it you didn't really "earn" it beyond RNG giving you coins as you play. Heroic is the only surefire way to get coins, but I get more just from playing the game in a week than from doing those strikes.

Edited by Lupinskey: 8/19/2015 1:10:25 PMIt's not about the fact that they earned or luck gave it to them, the point is how it fell in their lap.
