I still don't understand how the light level system still goes with your xp level, does the 40 xp level mean you can't go past that? Or does it mean that you can go past that with more legendary gear that has light?????

You cannot go past level 40. Light no longer affects your level. It affects the damage that you take and deal against enemies.

So now we have a level , say 40. That level may allow up to access new gear/guns. The gear will have "light' properties that can further boost stats? T his is probably really straighforward once i see it but i liked the original idea of getting rid of light all together. I can't wait to see
