Or do we have to start whole new characters? Will hard to obtain year 1 faction shaders be available to purchase from the revamped factions? Existing faction rep be kept or do we have to re-rank up? Will the ability to sell planetary materials (I.e. Spin metal, spirit bloom and etc) be available? What happens to the existing shaders & emblems? Do they just disappear from inventory on the 15th and then made available in these new kiosks? Will un-encrypted engrams gained during year 1, and saved in inventory/post master, de-crypt into year 2 items on September 15th?

Is the first Nightfall available at launch like Tanik's strike during the launch of House of Wolves, or not available at launch like Omnigouls strike. The main focus is getting the radiant light xp boost for the new story missions and quests with the new xp level cap.

Will all of our year one exotics be able to be upgraded in the Taken King or only a few of them or will we have to reacquire them?

Can you tell us if Crucible connection problems are going to be improved. The lag right now makes many matches unplayable. This is not just one persons opinion, majority of heavy crucible players feel this way.

I keep hearing about "suggested" light levels for some end game content. Are there going to be "required" light levels? Will I be able to access the content below the suggested light level?

Will they stay at the highest level obtained (34 in most cases). Or if my guardian happens to be wearing armor to make them 30 when the dlc drops (even though they normally are 34), will they stay at that level? Or does all end game Guardians drop to 20 since that is the actual level of the Guardians?

Since light level appears to determine how much damage you deal/take will we be able to place light on gear, or will there be top-tier gear from raids with highest possible light level? Just wondering because if that's the case, guardians will all look the same again.
