What? So you're assuming that the new weapons won't be as good?
Hmm, I'm going to disagree with you there. We haven't used the new weapons yet, so how would we know?

My point is just that. Bungie says they have "powerful new gear" for us to go out and get. My argument is this. If the new gear IS worthwhile then what would it matter if we kept our old gear??? People are going to get new gear regardless of whether the old one is ascended or not. So why force them??? The first assumption will be that the new guns won't compare if the old ones are kept relevant. Plus seeing as how when they bring out new guns they completely get rid of old ones (perks, perk trees and all) then we aren't really getting variety. Just a flop in what's the go to guns.
