Truth. I love this game, but if they invalidate the 550-600hrs I've put in so far, and seriously expect me to fall for it again? NOPE.

You know, it really brings forth a lot of other major concerns too that people just aren't taking into account. 1: If they get away with doing this, what happens come Year 3? Year 4? Just reset all the progress because the only items that hold any real value are the Exotics which you can only have one equipped at any given time? 2: This doesn't really encourage continued weapon innovations. I feel like they are putting way more focus on how the guns look and not enough on the actual weapon designs. Dark Below and House of Wolves were largely horrible because they were more or less re-creating the original vanilla stock with shittier attributes and perks, but with a higher Max Damage. The ONLY REASON to get the new stuff was Max Damage. That's it. Obviously, that isn't a good enough reason for players to get rid of their old stuff. Th 3: It proves that Activision can do the exact same kind of business practices with Destiny that they can with COD. It furthers the ADD mentality that Gamers must have and are only interested in new things every year. Also that players will pay top dollar for an incomplete product, get absolutely NOTHING in return for having done so, and continue to throw money at the screen regardless. 4: It likewise furthers the mentality that its ok to ignore what players want. Because there are OBVIOUSLY those of us who WANT continued Gear Ascension, but they don't care about it. Its already been transforming into a "our way or the highway" response, which various trolls in the community have been perpetuating.
