So is that aimed at everyone with a high grimoire? Cause I disagree with that if it is.

You seriously believe a high Grim means anything? Let me paint a picture for all of you. In the last week, our group added 2 players to run the Vault for their 1st time. One had a very low Grim (under 2000), held his own, the other had a high Grim (over 3300) and really struggled. Ran it again on Tuesday, dude under 2000 was embarrassing most of us, 3300 struggled. One listened, the other didn't. The proof is in the pudding gents. If you can't adequately evaluate your squad-mates, that's on you. The fact that I could prob be at 3400 tomorrow if I wasted my time hunting Dead Ghosts only reinforces my argument.

No, it's not aimed at all with high Grim. In much the same way low Grim is no indication of a player's skill level.

  • U can only get 540 with ghosts. Just that much. No more. So yeah. Idk where you are coming from.

  • It all makes sense now, if you're not a PvP player you're not welcome in PvE then. GRIM MEANS NOTHING.

  • Really? It shows experience. There may be outliers like you who never pvp. However, most people do. So it points out if they are experienced or not. If I saw a guy with 3665 grimoire and a guy with 3000 grimoire, I automatically choose 3665. It's an easy way of deciding a person's worth.

It is no reflection of actual skill, bottom line. I could prob go farm 300 more Grim tomorrow if I felt like it, WTF does that have to do with anything? Look at the percentages on trophies, look at their gear for the activity. GRIM MEANS NOTHING.

  • Which way is easier. Going through all that ish or looking for a 3400+ grimoire. It's the easier and more reliable way. Again, you can spam that line over and over, won't change the fact that it does show a reflection of their skills(in most cases). Nothing we can do to change that. We need a measure if skill, grimoire is the easy to access one.

Inspecting a player is that difficult for you? And it is no indication of player skill, I know people that PvP, don't play Destiny, but could easily come in and win the majority of their contests. Mechanics in PvP from game to game really don't vary that much.

  • Didn't you say checking moments of triumph? What would inspecting give you. Their weapons? Emblems might help but grimoire isn't a bad marker of skill.

  • Weaps and gear appropriate for the activity is all I care about. If they don't have it, they still get a chance to prove their worth. Just what is your problem with how other people prioritize their experience? It's a game, it's played for fun. Get off your high horse and go meet someone new. Maybe give back, like others gave to you. Too many selfish -blam!-s in the world.

  • I do. I carry n00bs through crota and vog. But when I pick my tryhard people for challenge modes I look at grimoire. I don't believe I'm better than you or anyone just because of grimoire. I think it's a way, not the best way, just the most convenient way of judging skill. Why are you getting so aggressive? I just think that when I don't have the ability to tell if someone is better than someone else, grimoire helps. It's not perfect, but it works for me. And tell me who gave to me? I was never carried through things. I was a solo player until i was level 31. Then I studied VoG and held my own weight. I fought my way here. I have no obligation to help others, but I do anyway. I'm simply saying grimoire isn't gonna make you look bad. It helps to determine skill, even though IT MAY BE WORTHLESS, IT IS STILL A DECENT INDICATOR. It's possible a godly player may have 2500 grimoire. Is it plausible? No. That's why I use it for determining if someone is reliable in a challenge.

  • So let's clear something up. I'm coming from a Raid background and you appear to be coming from a Trials background?

  • U know what this was fun but I got to go. Let's agree to disagree. I believe grimoire carries some weight but not a huge amount. Good night.
