How hard is it to the game change? They promoted the game they with pre release vidocs in 2013, then less than a year before release they gut the entire story. One day they had a full story, the next day it was gone. That's how fast the game can change.

Or they proposed things they were unable to finish. Tell me, do YOU have coding experience? Cuz i sure as hell don't. Who are we to tell programmers, "oh it's easy, just change it", without having any idea HOW to change it. I'm not a fanboy, but I feel like we hate too much on them. They are busy trying to satisfy 9 million players, and they are like, 100 people? More? I'm not sure. Point is, don't tell them how to do their job unless you can help them fix it.

*Has 6 years worth of college education dealing with Video Game Design classes* Its definitely doable for them, trust me. Especially when they have the tech and manpower. Its not just one person doing the programming, its an actual full blown team of developers who have 15-20+ years worth of experience with it.
