I know how you feel, but at the same time you are always going to have the flip side of the coin. As long as there are players that feel, like one of the longest comments on here, that they didn't get cheated out of money bungie doesn't care what the other players who agree with you think. If they have blind followers that don't expect the best for their money in this shriveling economy, they will always have a cash flow even if we stop playing and buying. For those who feel that we are players feeling "entitled", you are the problem. You don't care that you got played for a fool. You're OK with the fact that for about $100 you got a beta like the OP said. Yes we have many hours of game play, in that aspect you are correct. But, if you look at the reason we have so much time invested in this game, that fact becomes less impressive. At this time, the gaming industry has a lack of good games. I can already hear you now...."That's a personal opinion!" and yes you are correct again. That is my opinion but so is the fact that you feel you got what you paid for. Both sides have followers so in this aspect neither is wrong. The problem is, the casual gamer is being catered to more than the "hardcore" if you wanna label us all that. While we always play this game, you jump on a couple times a month. Now there's nothing wrong with that but don't say our opinions are wrong if you're not here for the long haul. We are pointing out flaws in a game that would make the experience better for all but those comfortable just jumping on and playing it like it is prevent that. All in all, bungie cant please everyone but now they don't even try and that is wrong. Like the OP said, I've been here since the beta. Do i feel cheated? Yes. Do i feel that year one was a waste? Yes, very much. Is it fair that all new gamers are getting everything and more that i paid for for a fraction of the price? HELL NO! But because bungie has people willing to accept being screwed over, we will never see justice. I am entitled to what I paid for. If you don't like my opinion, that's fine. I'm not going to play "who's 'hang down' is bigger" with you and argue points because both sides have some valid points. Problem is being a victim of highway robbery is never a big problem to those who don't realize they were a victim.

  • The thing that I don't understand the most is that players tend to respond to these opinions more than anything, and defend Bungie as if they can't defend themselves. I mean, they label people like us as being "entitled" and yet the way they go around talking and behaving screams entitlement. They would actually sit there and argue the opinion of someone else WITH THEIR OWN OPINION... As if one opinion is supposedly greater than the other? Its just foolish. And its not even worth it in the long run, case in point I have no idea how many times I have actually attempted to debate with such people and each time I get them in a corner they either stop responding to me entirely or just try and change the subject instead. Like its a total waste of time talking to them in the first place.

If you feel cheated then it's on you for cheating yourself. You should have sold the game or quit. If it was a waste of your time then it's on you for wasting your own time! Why in the world did you play for hundreds of hours just like me if you felt like you were being cheated and that you were wasting your time? It just makes no sense.. It would make sense if you had signed some kind of contract in Beta to play 500 hundreds and you had to meet that obligation contractually but you didn't.. YOU sir CHOSE to spend those hundreds of hours playing this game. No one forced you.. No one made you.. Again, it's like eating 500 Mcdonalds cheeseburgers and bitching at Mcdonalds because they weren't good. Well, why did you keep eating them if you didn't like them? Why did you eat HUNDREDS of them if you didn't like them? Why did you eat them every day for a year if you didn't like them? Why does Mcdonalds owe you something because you felt like eating their cheeseburgers were a waste of time when you are the one who chose to go in there every day for a year and eat their cheeseburger? If you spent hundreds of hours doing a voluntary activity that you didn't like or felt was cheating you then it'100% on you. It's no one's fault but your own that you repeatedly did a completely voluntary activity that you felt sucked and was a waste. How can you possibly lay blame anywhere else for your own voluntary action? I'm sorry guys but if you spent hundreds of hours voluntarily playing a video game that you hated and didn't have fun doing.. you're an idiot. The only constant in Life is Change. Nothing lasts forever. This applies to not just your favorite gun in your favorite video game.. but literally everything. Don't hang on so tightly to the old that it causes you to miss out on the new.

  • 1.) It isn't like eating cheese burgers. I kept playing this game because i had already spent the money. why waste money by not playing the game. Plus, as with other players, I thought that the game would get better. Yes it was my choice, no one is arguing that fact. That doesn't change the fact that the game is not what was advertised. We wont get into what the game didn't have because that's neither here nor there. 2.) If i was not to complain then i would be an idiot. I am the consumer. Have you ever heard the expression the customer is always right? As a player, i was promised a gaming experience unlike any other. what i got was a game with no story, repetitive level design, and many glitches that, to the developers credit, were mostly worked out. I spent as much time as i did on the game because lets be honest, have you ever tried to resell a video game? No way was i going to get what i paid for it especially with how gamestop goes about business. Anyway, to call someone an idiot because they do something they don't like, you're coming of as a douche.Even i said both sides have good points so don't come at me all hostile. Lots of people do things they don't like. Problem is, i never said i didn't like the game. I did say that i didn't like some aspects of the game, but that doesn't mean i hated it. The other thing you seem confused about is WHEN I started to think the time i had spent on the game had become a waste of time. There is no way i could have anticipated bungie making everything i had done and accomplished worthless. my message to you is don't accept mediocrity so easily. You are the customer and its the consumers job to please you. If you just want to be OK with the game as it was then whatever. the fact is, if they didn't have to make us happy they wouldn't have made all the changes they did. we pay for the game because of a promise, we don't get it. We continue to play the game because we are told the consumer will listen to us and do their best to improve the game with our input.
