A few days ago the worst person (not just the team, the freaking match) on a crucible control game got the gally. This dude had a .2 kd. Getting the 17 coins took more work than that.
Nothing in an rng based game is "earned" the way people make it sound. The only thing in an rng based method you have to do to "earn" it is play the f*cking game.
I got my 1st gally from my first attempt at VoG normal mode back around Oct/Nov 2014, 2 from poe 28, and 2 from NF. It ain't like any of that was hard.

I don't understand why there is an uproar about this, I have had 4 gjallahorns for a long time, and I am not in the slightest bit upset that xur is selling it, in fact, I am absolutely ecstatic because a lot of players I know and regularly play with that weren't lucky enough to get it as a drop yet can now get it, and as you said, "earning" a gjallahorn from say, a gorgon chest, is actually much "cheaper" than buying it for strange coins lol, I have this weird feeling that most of the people that play destiny are 11, which makes me feel very self conscious about playing this game haha.
