You do realize the mail verification was for 9 coins, not the 17 required for the jellyhorn right? So you still have to get the other coins from somewhere...

This. I don't think he knows what he's talking about. You only get one batch of 9 coins per account, not 9 per week. The only people who got more was by accident yesterday when Bungie were trying to fix the issue with the focused light not reaching people and must have messed something up because a bunch of people got their coins, focused light and a weapon that was a Christmas present from Bungie all over again.
