The newest game didn't even break 3 million while every Halo game released has. That series also has a mobile device tied to it, Halo does not have full-fledged games geared towards something like that. It has Spartan strike or whatever but those are nothing like the console games. There is no denying that Halo is a cult hit. You mention that name and people will know what you're talking about, whether they're from PS, Nintendo, or otherwise. I guarantee you if you tell an Xboner about Gran turismo they'll think you're talking about some gangster movie or GTA rip off. Add the fact that the PS2 was and is the most sold console yet sill doesn't have as many sales as each respective Halo game and you're only rubbing salt in the wounds. Keep in mind that MS was always the underdog in sales up until the 360 while the PS1 and PS2 (which were released long before the Xbox) always had more sales. MS only ever won the 360 vs. PS3 battle. Of course it's a battle of the opinions so I can't say it's a fact but everyone knows about Mario. It's a legend. You have to realize that games like that revolutionized everything we see now. They've had an impact on video game history and it's something that's brought up all the time. What I'm really saying is that none of the PS exclusive have had a greater thud than Halo. Does that means it's the best? No because nothing can ever prove that. Terminator 2 was labeled one of the best movies of all time but it didn't even have the most views. Which is another point I've been trying to make here (along with the fact that Destiny will never be as good as Halo and many other games). You act as if Halo is being milked. Each game brought something new whether it was a story, gameplay, game type, vehicle, etc. You could say it's being dragged and I realize that but each of the games has more than Destiny ever will.
