Isn't that why so many "OP" Year 1 weapons are being nerfed, though? Fatebringer, Ghorn, Blackhammer, Thorn, etc.. It seems like they're already dealing with that issue.
And, even if they're not, these imbalances won't negatively effect anyone in PvE, which is the only area that's truly effected by capping gear. PvP is where weapons balance is actually important, and it'll be almost entirely unaffected by the cap... So it doesn't seem like a great plan, honestly.

There always comes a time where you have to let go of stuff you earned, and you'll feel like bungie is throwing away your acomplishments, same thing happens in every game, just live with it and find new guns
-
What do you mean it happens in "every game?" There has never been a FPS that forces you to move onto different guns, and I'm 100% certain. The only time weapons get reshuffled that way is when a sequel comes out, and TTK is not a sequel- it's DLC. :P

With mmo type games there are no sequels, so this is as real as it gets, all games with level progression (not ranks like in most shooters) will involve you leaving behind old tactics for new ones. Just get over it and play with it while it's still valid
With mmo type games there are no sequels
Stop right there, bro. This isnt a game like WoW that's designed to be a single game that lasts for 10 years. All info so far points to the fact that Destiny will have sequels. 1. It's Activision. They love money. Duh. 2. The leaked DLC timeline very much points to a 2-year dev cycle, with a major expansion every off-year to keep the game fresh, which has proven to be accurate, thus far. 3. It's a console franchise. 4. It's an FPS franchise. 5. ...It's an Activision franchise!

You're typecasting the game, which is ignorant, it may have shooter mechanics but at its core it's mechanics are that of an mmo, raids, leveled gear, small instances, open world. And on the subject of that dev timeline, I bet it's mostly inaccurate. I don't believe it until I've seen it with my own eyes, let me know if they change the taken king into comet or whatever that timeline said. You're right Activision does gorge on cash from its customers that's why it's charging such an exorbitant fee for the taken king
