Well I see where your coming from so I'll start by saying we cannot assume it will be successful. Why? Because no weapon balance so far has been. But lets go waaay out on that tiny limb and say it is. I'm going to keep them cause I want to. Not because they are op. But because it's me playing and I just play that way. The real issue is that I (and a lot of others) are being held back by last gen hardware. More vault space is probably the most demanded thing even above weapon balancing. Its ridiculous that I upgraded only to be made felt like I didn't for this game. I'll be playing TTK until I absolutely run out of space. Then when I finally quit, bungie will have the data for the reason why. No more space to hold stuff. I'm not saying collecting is a good habit, but I will say most play that way.
I'm going to keep them cause I want to. Not because they are op. But because it's me playing and I just play that way.
That's my feeling, exactly. I'm totally fine with new gear being "better" than my old stuff, but not just because they have a higher attack level. :P And my Vault has been 100% full since the first week of HoW. That issue needs to be adressed immediately, regardless of Ascension!

Unfortunately the only way is to leave last gen behind and they aren't gonna do that till the next game.

Not necessarily- They said the issue with Last-Gen hardware was that it couldn't handle showing anymore gear on the screen at the same time. Meaning, they would need to add multiple pages to the vault's inventory, which is definitely a possibility, and is what people are asking for anyway. I think they'll likely find some fix before the next DLC, honestly.

I hope your right.

Me, too. XD
