First vanguard faction item, can I screw this up?
Finally, almost at rank 2 vanguard faction and almost enough points to buy something. Can I screw this up and buy the wrong thing?

Your lowest Light stat is on your Helmet. Therefore I would upgrade that to Legendary first. Vanguard stuff is a means to an end. It will not be your final armour but it will enable you to progress to a higher light level.
