Due to the shear fact it's taken them a year to apparently construct story into the game. Due to the shear fact the only reason people complete raids, iron banner, trials of Osiris and other end game content is for the reward of weapons and gear. That's why I complain. I never complained about MGS4 because the story was incredible and so was all the weaponry. That game is 7 years old and has done a better job.
