Playing any sport is a hobby, once you get paid for it then it becomes a profession. Gaming is a profession for the all the people that win money at Cs, Mkx, street fighter, League of Legends, etc...
Sport-an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
Video games doesn't involve physical exertion.
Do you use you're eyes? Do you use your fingers? Do you use mental capacity to outplay your opponents? Does your reaction time have to be above the norm to do the things gamers do? Yes to all of these. The definition of sport is outdated since 2000 when eSports began and then also when MLG was founded.
Yes it is a hobby, but if you are paid to do it. And you do it extremely well, you're a professional... Just like when people get paid to compete in Esports events... That, by dictionary terms, makes them a professional.
Why do you take such an issue with streamers? It's almost like it insults you personally from some your replies to other posters here?
