I have never attempted a raid partially because I have no one to play it with and partially because I have no clue how to do it, so there goes those parts

You could try the Destiny Sherpa section on reddit. Experienced raiders post there regularly offering to help first-timers. I sought help there a few weeks ago, and had a great experience! Now all I need is Skolas...

Don't give up. Go and visit www.the100.io and join a group. Some groups are more active than others but there are some great people there who would be more than happy to help you out. There is a rookie group specifically for helping people who have never raided.
