Your 1st point is exactly what I was too lazy to write here. I was saying the same thing to a clan mate earlier today. I played an MMO for 4 years before I played Destiny. There's quite a bit of difference in how Destiny weapon affect experience and how the weapons of other MMOs work. They are indeed just "stat sticks." I saw the preview and review of the new weapons from YouTubers. Honestly, all of the legendary weapons aside from the sidearm were meh and I wasn't going to use them. Now Destiny is forcing me to use these meh weapons. No thanks.
