I agree with the OP. So a question to all who are in agreement of ascension going away: Why does it bother you if some of us would rather keep and use the same gear for the next 10 years? Not saying that would be the case, but what does it matter to you? Shouldn't we have the option to if we want? I mean hell, you can still "move on" if you prefer.

This. [i]No one[/i] is inconvenienced if players are allowed to use whatever gear they prefer. It simply gives players the [i]choice[/i], to play the game how they want to play. You want all new gear? Great. You want to play the new activities, but keep your old gear? Awesome. You want to keep that one special primary, but want a new sniper? Super! [i]Everyone can have a good time![/i]
