Well destiny is a completely new fame unlike any other isn't it? It's not your typical mmo or fps. It's something else, it's something new. It does stuff differently. Not everyone will like it. Destiny is growing and evolving into what it needs to be, sometimes it means you have to say goodbye to old stuff, to bring the game as a whole to another level. This really only applies to pve though, deej is confirmed saying in a post know these very forums in the last 12 hours that he plans to use his shadow price in the crucible still. Cosmo has also warned people against dismantling your old weapons right now. You can be that weirdo crouching in the corner petting their fatebringer calling it your precious and reminiscing on the "good Ole days" of year one. Holding onto the past for too long is unhealthy though, you grew attached to your current weapon, you can grow attached to another one.

  • The fact that PvP isn't effected is another one of my complaints. As a mainly PvE player, I feel like I've been screwed over and over by every update, for no reason. And I'm down for moving on to new stuff, but I'll reiterate myself; why does moving on to new gear necessitate getting rid of old gear? In a game that advertizes diversity, should Bungie want to keep as much gear as possible?

  • My opinion is that diversity can be very diverse. :) (see what I did there) I think diversity in games can look different in that it has a very large number of options. Or maybe that it has a constantly evolving, and changing number of options. Both are diverse.

  • Plus you say at the end of your tldr, that the only way for bungie to validate players efforts is to let them bring forward gear. How is this the only way? Would you like me to name other way or are you only interested in your own opinion, because you state that as fact, but it's just your opinion, and you don't really have a choice in the matter at this point.
