I'm about halfway through the first one. I wouldn't say I dislike it. My reaction is more along the lines of "this is it?" I could easy finish the first one at least but it's just not that interesting to me.

Halo CE is extremely lackluster by today's standards. That's going to be the case for a while.

Yeah, tbh I preferably like 2 and 3 better just because of the storyline. Halo 1 i did like, but found to be challenging and time consuming, since i played on heroic and each level takes at least 30 min your first time playing through or maybe im just slow. It did however have a good story and many beloved characters.
