Hi there again, Malphisto!
Here's the problem I have and I'll put it as concise as possible.
Year 1 content was predominantly disc locked content. Data mining proves that. There's no way to access what megaman found without a foundation for these things already being in place.
Then Bungie showed they're capable of changing that content as they did with HOW - at least it showed with this expansion much more.
Many of the changes going into TTK are things the player base and community have been asking for since TDB. It simply shouldn't take this long to fix a game that was coded and developed by these guys. And when they did fix something, they broke nine other things.
I get this is all supposed to be a process but if any of us had a job and were given a project, and it took us 9 months to figure out how we -blam!-ed up our own project, we'd be fired and jobless.

I think TTK saves or murders destiny. I genuinely don't know what to expect. Bungie likes to hype things up and then hype it again and then hype it one last time. All while sharing minimal details. That article from planet destiny has told me more about the DLC than anything Bungie has published. To me - THATS A PROBLEM. Maybe, just maybe the last year was filled with so many mistakes because all he real brains behind the game were working on TTK the whole time - which would be AWESOME.
I obviously want this game to succeed, I've played it too much to want anything else. Bungie has just left a poop taste in my mouth that all the listerine in the world can't remove.
Both of these are quotes from a conversation I just had with a few buddies of mine I've been playing with since Day One.

I'm sure TTK will be fun. My beef is just that we essentially paid $100+ for that first year of the game and now that's all being swept under the rug like it never even happened. I mean, Gear Ascension would do nothing but simply add to the diversity of weapons and armor in the game once TTK hits. MORE is always better than less.

I'm right there with you. I have sunk so many hours into this game and I do feel like what I've done is being neglected. Perhaps in 6 months they'll change that once everyone has had a chance to further expand their arsenal but by then a bunch of old gear will have been deleted. I've played MMOs and I really do grasp the idea of getting good gear, then getting better gear and so on and so forth. But as much as people want to push destiny into the FPS MMO RPG category, it just doesn't fit in my eyes. Maybe it is simply that because it's the first of its kind. But we can't interact with enough people for it to be an MMO for me, at least not enough people at once. But what do I know. I just read all the stuff that came out today and maybe this will be some awesome expansion. I made one promise, I wouldn't buy TTK until there was ample feedback from the community. And I stand by that statement. But more is always better than less, unless we're talking STDs. Always less in that case ;)
