That doesn't change the fact that I right now have around 25+ Etheric light and can easily add another 30+ before the Taken King comes out. I would easily make out all my characters gear and weapons the first minute it came out. That isn't progression. That's like asking why can't my Iron Sword be as strong as my Ebony Sword in Skyrim. That's not how progression works. This is how progression should work, and is most likely how the formula will and should continue down the line when it comes to Destiny. Vanilla<TDB<HoW. The increase shouldn't be that drastic when it comes to those dlcs as we only increased two levels per dlc. But now factor TTK into equation and it should look like this.
Vanilla<TDB<HoW<<<TTK.
Same thing should apply with the future dlc and should follow that formula so by the time Destiny 2 comes it out it should look like this depending on when it comes out.
Vanilla<TDB<HoW<<<TTK<Small DLC1<Small DLC2<<<Destiny 2. That would be a simple and effective strategy with weapon and gear progression.
We all got hundreds of hours with our favorite weapons. It's time to move along and spend hundreds of hours with these new weapons.
Tho I do hope that they raise the Activity levels of VoG, Crota, and PoE later down the road. That way we can earn higher level weapons of our previous raid gear...
