My main theory is that the new weapons and the old ones wouldnt be able to coexist. The weapons in TTK are based off of different play styles than the play styles we have now. Bungie clearly has a new vision for Destiny and where they want to take it, and they wouldnt be able to take the game there with the old weapons still around. And my point wasnt really that you made friends through the old content. And i could care less about playing and making friends with the noobs. My point was that we experienced the old content when it was the new content. Do you value the time you spent on the old content? If yes, than you do see the other side of the coin. If no, than your arguement is invalid since that means you dont value the old weapons. And to be clear, im on your side, i dont want the noobs to be where im at by doing nothing. But i see Bungies side and i see the logic behind it, which is why i am fine with their decision to do this.
