This link has some info on TTK. Some of it was mentioned already, but the paragraph Starting with "Finally" was something I had yet to see.
Slightly talks about leveling up new gear/weapons. This is how I understood it; we can save any legendary weapon/gear and when TTK comes out we can use it to level our gear/weapons? Or will this only be gear/weapons that drop post TTK that we can use? Anyone else get same conclusion?

But what's the point of using a Fatebringer or something to power other weapons?

I am not sure honestly which is why I found it a bit odd. I believe they will be doing a live stream here in the next few weeks to explain how it is going to work. So until then I will try and hold on to as much legendary stuff as possible just in case. If it turns out that they will be useful then I will just keep em. If not then I will just do away with the ones that I do not want.
