I. Have. Both. LDR with the fabled original Vanguard build and Longbow with a similar build. Armor Piercing is the best perk in this game, let's be honest.

Armor piercing used to be so great. Shooting through walls with the LDR...good memories.

Still is! You can't shoot through as many walls, but it's still pretty powerful. Plus it's great when a guy in Crucible dances behind a window because he thinks he's safe and then- POP!

That's true. I just remember when you could essentially shoot through anything. I was sad when they nerfed it :(

Very. I deleted my favorite shotgun in Dark Below, but looking back it wasn't really that good anyway. I'm more into snipers now anyway, so who cares?

Ah, I was talking for PvE.

PvE it's good, too. I find many things like fences and railings that can block enemy shots while I'm still able to shoot through them. You've just got to know what you're doing.

The ability to consistently stagger is more useful, IMO. Not saying AP is bad BTW.

I'm pretty sure that all snipers have the ability to consistently stagger... Or did I miss something? The only time enemies don't stagger for me is when Angry is on.

It's almost guaranteed with it, less chance without, don't know the exact numbers.
