You can fix that glitch easy by swapping any piece of gear back and forth; try swapping out a weapon, then re-equip the weapon you were using, and presto! You don't even need to get off your Sparrow. Used to think it only worked by swapping out my Titan Mark/Hunter Cloak, but turns out it works by changing any piece of gear while riding the Sparrow.
