Title said Bungie can't resist chopping up dlc. Read the entire post(unfortunately), did not provide any link to dlc getting cut into several pieces. Nothing.

Then you are pathetically uninformed

Edited by RedFaceGeneral : 7/28/2015 11:51:29 AMOh right. Telling people they are uninformed after making a thread with an Accusing title and without backing up with anything. Do you realize how stupid you sound now? Is that how you live in real life? Accuse people then have nothing to show for it and when confronted you simply reply 'then you are pathetically uninformed.'?

OP is referring to the Red Bull marketing ploy. The one that says you get an exclusive mission when you buy Red Bull.
-
How can that be considered 'chopping' dlc? You buy the drink and use the code to access it early. The people that don't have it will still get to play it at a later date. That's the key here, you don't need to buy anything to play it later.

Edited by Jeb_Bush: 7/28/2015 12:17:24 PMEdit: reread and I misinterpreted at first. I'm not sure if the Red Bull codes are available to everyone after a while. I know the Suros pack is, but I don't recall hearing that about Red Bull.

Edited by RedFaceGeneral : 7/28/2015 12:21:13 PMAFAIK, you need the code to access it when sept hits, people who don't have the code will still get to play it in January. Edit: http://gamerant.com/destiny-taken-king-red-bull-dlc-mission-934/
This new exclusive mission is set to launch alongside The Taken King on September 15.

For fans who aren’t fans of Red Bull or energy drinks in general, the quest offer will be available to everyone after the exclusivity ends in January 2016.
Well I guess it is timed. Kinda kills the hype. Oh well, not getting it anyway, lol.

Proof?

Look at every ViDoc, trailer, etc. You'll see DLC areas a year before the game comes out

Ok maybe i view things differently. Thanks to last generation, when developers released some documentary or whatever trailer, i took it at face value. I don't believe anything ESPECIALLY when the game is still far from being released. However with that said, of course developers/publishers should not be misleading. Unless Bungie confirmed everything in the trailer shown that will be in the base game, they can't be accused of lying or using bait-and-switch tactics, there's a reason why most trailers put out disclaimer like 'content subject to change and does not represent the final game blah blah blah'. Now, on to OP's thread title. He mentioned 'Bungie can't even resist chopping up the DLC'. Correct me if I'm wrong, from that sentence he was implying Bungie not only chopped up the base game and sold part of it as DLC right, and now they are going to even chop up what dlc into....future dlc? So where's the proof in that?
