Spoken like someone who is older, and who grew up with video games were GAMES.....
...and didn't have pretentions about being movies.
I play games for the game play. Slick game play that's enjoyable....I don't care if if doesn' have a move-quality script for a story. Bad gameplay?...and the best story won't rescue it for me. (cough....Watch_dogs....cough).
If I want a story I'll watch a movie or read a book. I play games in order to PLAY.

If you think this game's 30 second cutscenes are anything worth whining over, then you legitimately have ADD. That's all there is to it.
