It's not like it costs more.........if you're gonna buy it, you might as well preorder, and if you aren't, then why do you care...

Because the horrendous precedent this kind of behavior sets. Because games used to be sold as complete entities not cut into dozens of pieces. Because I believe in knowing what I am getting and the quality of it before I pay for it because I am not a moron.

  • Then don't preorder, wait and see. What's the problem? Do you really think that because a few people preordered the devs won't do their job and sell you crap? At this stage, the expansion should be already done and almost ready to be released. Besides, preorders are a minimum part of the total sales. The only good thing about preorder is that the developer gets some money to move to their next project and you get your premium item.

  • Pre-Ordering is the gaming equivalent of buying a car without ever having started the damn thing. You don't know if it works. You don't don't know the quality of the ride. You are buying something that you have NO IDEA how good it is because the reviews aren't out yet most often than not. Its a horrible practice that preys on the ignorant and the uninformed.

The car example is not a good analogy because a game is not a car, it's not in the same price range, not the same utility, durability, or necessity. But ok, I'll buy your analogy, then don't preorder it, just like I wouldn't preorder a car. It doesn't make it wrong that some people are willing to pay for it and have premium items in exchange. I have never bought any season pass or preordered anything but I don't think it is wrong.

  • If you like the game enough to want the dlc if even 10% of what they've shown is true, you should preorder, yes it is a stupid practice, but they aren't permanently exclusive, so it's not a big deal.
