I just like the emblem plus it is exotic. I have a strange obsession with equipping the highest tier gear/emblem/sparrow I have. I have never done it to boast. Not everyone is an egoist. Also as an aside, I am fairly good in the crucible. Peas. Edit: Also it is strange to perceive it as an indicator of skill in any fashion as going flawless is fairly easy. I have done it - time permitting - on every character each week. Sometimes, I have done it 7 or 8 times to help other people who have not gone flawless before.
