How do YOU judge players?
This is just a little change up of the forums due to the whole weapon tuning thing.
Now I don't mean for this to break out into arguments ok guys I'm just generally curious as to how the rest of the destiny community judges other players without ever meeting or playing with them.
Me personally I look at grimoire score, only because it shows how dedicated someone is to completely maxing out the game.
But like I said no arguments, hey you might even learn something and improve your character so it impresses other people without even playing with them.
Edit 1: my bad for not explaining myself about the grimoire. I won't disallow anyone into my raid team, Poe team etc if their grimoire score is low however I will change my playstyle to be more serious. For example if a level 34 is in my raid team and they have 1000 grimoire score then I will change my playstyle to be more serious and more descriptive in my actions due to the fact they have not done said raid before. My bad for not explain that sorry.
Edit 2: I'm so glad with the outcome of this post. Almost no arguments and people talking nice to each other and giving their constructive feedback based on their "judgment system" it's been lovely reading all of your replies and even engaging in conversations with some of you. Nice to see we still have a lovely polite community of guardians after the whole ordeal lately, this will be my last edit for this post guys but I hope to see you all in the battlefield some day guardians :) happy killing

Grimoire and gamertag are usually pretty reliable indicators for a quick evaluation. If nothing else, get them on the mic and listen to them talk. Their attitude is more indicative of their skill than their in-game character.

I look at their gear and ask myself "If I didn't know what I was doing, would I be using that?" If the answer is yes, I either go easier on them or talk to them about their playstyle. Who knows, might just learn something.

1 ReplyIve found the best way to judge is by armour, for example if they have full new vanguard armour then they likely arent very expeienced.

I will look at grimore. If lower than like 2500 I will judge them as a noob unless they prove themselves to be very capable in the activity we are doing. I will not make any vocal judgements and I will not kick unless they prove to be very very bad. Like completely terrible and dies or goes inactive constantly.

I judge people based on decent decision making lol level and anything is imo pointless.

Their attitudes and maturity. If you're acting stupid in my Fireteam or being a dick, you're getting kicked.

I typically don't care but I will go over their guardian and grimoire score to get an idea of their "legend"

10 RepliesEasy. I don't judge other players. It is a game and it is not needed. IMO. If I pass another player and they happen to be a lower level and it looks like they need help, I help. Level or stats really mean very little to me.

By the way they play, their gamer etiquette. If they push people off cliffs randomly, lag switch, constantly punch and shoot me, sit down in a spawn area... They are not welcome in my gaming space again.

Do you revive and support your teammates when needed? Yes, then yay. Do you constantly NOT pay attention to somebody carefully aiming with a rocket launcher and ALWAYS get in front of the shot at the last minute, then you gotta go. Do you get in the way in general outside of minding the space? Yeah I know its tight but you need to pay attention. Can you communicate without 3x the background noise (You're playing your game, watching TV, have the radio on and have family/spouse talking loudly at the same time) GO AWAY. Grim score is nothing but repetition. It doesn't reflect any skill. So I don't care about it, nor look at it much.

1 ReplyBy playing with them. Grimore doesn't mean shit. It just means you went to look for dead useless ghost and killed enemies over and over again. Which to me takes no skill whatsoever.

3 RepliesGood question. If it's a raid group: VoG: do you speak english and can you respond to instructions if you don't know what you're doing? Yes. You're good. Crota: (not a Sherpa for this), do you somewhat know what you're doing, own any rocket launcher that's legendary, and meet the VoG requirements? Welcome aboard if yes. PoE: don't yell or chant satanic rituals and you're fine Trials: I'll ask a few questions to check their patience and play style Primary? Secondary? (Trick question to see if the have an attitude, the answer is saying that there are no secondary weapons but there are special weapons, lol) Heavy? Class? And finish with asking if they are good. I could find all of these by inspecting or Looking their stats up but I need people to talk so this gets them comfy. Regardless of your answers you can stay after this. And finally for methheads, drug deals, people that take constant smoke breaks, lying squeakers (you know what I mean), and of course anyone that feels like telling me to shut up because they think they are entitled in sone way. Fairly easy requirements.

1 ReplyI don't judge, in fact I look for players that have not completed anything, because it makes me feel good to see people get rewards that they usually don't get..example, I ran a lvl 30 through nightfall he got Mida multi tool and freaked out in excitement...we take that for granted but to some players Dragon breath is the ultimate prize.
