Turning back around to face the Aegis, Phoenix holds the glowing katana out in front of him in a two-handed stance. He then brings the handle to eye level with himself, keeping the sword parallel to the ground. The ground around Phoenix begins to scorch and simmer as the cobalt glow of the blade dims a bit. The minigun resting on his shoulder fires a concentrated stream of tracer rounds into the damaged area of the Paige's leg, grey dust now swirling around Phoenix.

 • The knight swings down, creating a rift from the arcane sword in front of him. The bullets whizz into the rift and exit behind you, eager to tear into your back.

 • The metal arms of the hydraulic limbs fold around his back to create a makeshift shield. He immediately stops firing and strafes right as the .308 impacts the extra armour and his actual armour. No serious damage is done, but the spearheaded limbs have been disabled for the rest of the fight. The thrusters of the exosuit activate again, sending him spiralling around the Aegis like a boomerang. A carefully planned "Willy Pete" smoke grenade is shot from his wrist with an adhesive component, sticking to the back of the knight. The grenade goes off, the burning of the detonation doing barely anything to the thick armour. The smoke, however, asphyxiates and chokes anything within it that does not have a filter of some kind.
