[b]Was the guy in the Halo Reach deliver hope trailer Thom-293 (which I am almost positive it is) and if so, why does his armor look so similar to Noble six's. [/b]

It is Thom. Why is their armor the same? Probably so people who didn't care to figure out the story could see it as the player character making the ultimate sacrifice.
