Witcher 3 review

Ok, so i just finished the Witcher 3,(kinda late i know) and oh my God. The game is amazing. Now, ive never played the first two, but i was happy with how it filled me in on everything. I got the best possible ending first try, and plan to play through again on deathmarch, going For the worst this time.
romanced triss btw
Ive never been sad to have a story end before. The game was so immersive, even the side quests were amazing
i liked the fact That even the side quests affected the story and ending.
The combat system took awhile to get used to, but i liked it. Its better than simply mashing one button to keep attacking, its all about strategy. You have to time all the hits, time dodges and counters, make use of the signs, (quen all the way)and always keep an eye out. The gameplay can feel a bit clunky at times, and Geralt's movement can be a bit slow. But this was fixed in the latest update, simply pause the game, go to settings >>> gameplay >>> geralt movement and switch it to alternate. He controls much better and smoother. So they fixed that The monsters were great and fun to fight
except for the shrieker, damn thing took me like ten tries
Theyre all unique and i like the fact that some are rare, so you can only fight them so much. Monsters are definitely unique in this game, with a new take on some monsters. (Vampires for example, human at times, then transform into this freaky old man style abomination) Alright, so the actual story. Its really good. Ill admit it was a bit slow at times, and there were moments when sometimes what you want to do isnt an option (although very rare, since the game lets you do mostly what you want) and there were some tense moments that really make it amazing. However, i plan for this to be spoiler free so ill end it at that Now, bugs and glitches. while it is a great game, there were still a lot of bugs. And while none i have encountered are game breaking, they can sometimes get annoying, some to a point where you have to reload previous saves to fix. Bugs include: -frame rate issues - cant save game (this one is the worst because it can get rid of hours of progress if you dont catch it fast enough) - texture issues - character model issues where geralts skin would cover half the skin (required previous save load) - infinite loading screen Most of them only happen once (except the frame rate, that one can sometimes be constant) But they hadnt ruined the overall experience, so if you dont mind a few here and there, youll be fine All in all, the game is amazing, if you plan on buying it, do it. You dont need to have played the first two, as the game does well on filling you in. However, it is still recommended you at least play the second game, as im going to buy it now. So, i give the game: 9/10 A 9 because the bugs kinda bring it down. But still, The game is one of the best i have ever played in a long time, and im sad it had to end. It is a must-buy game, and im gonna go ahead and say that i believe that the Witcher 3 will win GOTY Its amazing and it definitely deserves it Tl;Dr : the game is amazing, go buy it

 • The game is very good. I have finished it and found the controls a bit clunky and the Combat pretty much button mashing. However, there are so many ways to do combat that your options seem limitless. Quests are fun and the story pretty great. 9/10 I am on my second playthrough. Horse combat sucks though....
